The Most Exciting Quad Bike Adventures in the World!
(or the ones that won’t break the bank)
The beauty of a quad bike is that you can ride them in most terrains and in a variety of climates. If you love quad biking, then you may have experienced some of these amazing places which all carry their own benefits depending on what you look for in an experience. Many tour operators offer quad bike tours, which is a great way to experience travel, adventure and the exhilaration of driving a quad bike!
ATV (all terrain vehicle) tours are also an ideal way to experience more of where you are travelling too – culture, climate, people and occasionally local delicacies. So, it’s not all about track adrenaline (albeit to some it’s their favourite type of riding) - quad bikes offer so much variety, to a wide range of people, in many climates.
Quad Bike Safari Lapland
The mountain terrain is rough and the snow pretty deep. However, the beauty of the countryside and the wide-open snowy plains create a varied experience. If you have younger family members many companies offer reindeer pulled sleighs to carry your children, whilst you zoom on ahead.
With light in the winter limited, night-time quad safaris are equally exciting and if you’re lucky enough you might get the see the Northern lights. If not, then the huge expanse of stars as you ride through the forests.
The Algarve
There’s much to see from a quad bike in the Algarve. From coastal regions to the Algarvian Mountains, you´ll discover golden sandy beaches and rugged cliff tops too. Stunning coastal stretches and traffic-free routes, you´ll ride through charming villages and cobbled hill towns to the Eastern side with dense pine forests and with dazzling ocean views.
Romania
Romania is one of the wildest and most remote parts of Europe where bears and wolves still prowl the ancient forests and villagers till the fields with horse and plough.
The Carpathian Mountains in Romania are exceptional and if you are staying in Brasov (a charming small old town with cobbled streets and gothic church), you could probably add in a tour of Dracula’s castle to your itinerary.
Morocco Deserts
Explore Marrakech's spectacular deserts (which can be quite challenging), travel through the palm groves and get breath-taking views of the rock desert en route to your quad-biking expedition. Finished off with a Moroccan tea or hang out with some camels, your trip would be full of variety.
The French Alps
Chalets, mountain ranges and the beautiful scenery are intrinsic to the Alps. With many inclines, a quad bike in the French Alps is an ideal way to see much without being overwhelmed with the many gradients. Due to safety, it’s probably best to attempt this outside of the ski and storm/snow/avalanche season.
Wales/Snowdonia
A beautiful part of the UK and if won’t take you too long to get there. The views and tracks of Snowdonia are renowned. Combine this with other adrenaline fuel packed adventures and you have yourself an amazing trip. If you love quad biking you might also like zip wiring. Check out the Penrhyn Slate Quarry, located near Bethesda in North Wales, home to Zip World Velocity 2, the fastest zip line in the world and the longest in Europe.
Different countries have different stipulations for quad biking. Before you book up your adventure, it would be best to double check what’s required regarding licenses and insurance. Also check what safety equipment is included in the price.
